Dr. Bob Achila has been the recipient of numerous honours and awards including:
- Takeda science foundation international fellowship award to study Urogynaecology at Kameda Medical Centre in Chiba, Japan
- European Society of Gynaecologic Oncology (ESGO) award to study cancer at the famous Oscar Lambret Cancer Centre in Lille, France
- International Continence Society (ICS) award to study Urogynaecology at the renowned Jeanne de Flandres Hospital in Lille, France

Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist | Specialist in Urogynaecology & Pelvic Floor Disorders
Dr. Bob Achila is a consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist. He is a board certified in Urogynaecologist and is the head of the Urogynaecology division at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi.
He was the first doctor in Kenya to be granted recognition by the Kenya Medical Council in the field of Urogynaecology. He has undergone extensive training in Japan, France and Kenya in state-of-the-art advanced minimal access surgery (laparoscopy, vaginal surgery, robotic surgery, endourology, and hysteroscopy) for a full range of urological and gynaecological conditions.
His training as a clinical research epidemiologist at the prestigious London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) enables him to offer the highest level of evidence-based patient care as well as participate in rigorous research and audit of practice for the benefit of his patients
Dr. Bob Achila is a member of the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA), International Continence Society (ICS), International Association of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG) and the European Society for Gynecologic Oncology (ESGO)
